When I first got into Eurorack, adding the Mutable Instruments Braids to my tiny rig was like getting bit by a radioactive synthesizer spider and gaining super powers. Braids is a digital oscillator featuring dozens of algorithms (and even more with alternate firmware) that covers a huge spectrum of synth sounds, drum sounds and far out noise. Émilie at Mutable discontinued Braids a couple years back (in favor of the refined & focused Plaits), but I’ll keep one around forever (yes I currently have two).
