Mandrake kick drum sample pack
The Mandrake is a new heavy duty analog Euroack kick drum module from Malstrom, a boutique synth company in the Netherlands. It provides a lot of interesting controls for a module hyperfocused on one thing: making awesome kick drums. This sample pack captures 50 of those kicks, directly from the module with no funny business.
We’ve also dropped 25 tuned kicks into the Mandrake Kick Ableton instrument–pick a sample with the first knob, tune a bunch of settings with the other knobs, and play basslines with the keyboard.
Here’s what you get:
- 50 kick drum samples (25 of them tuned to C)
- An Ableton pack with with the Mandrake Kick super instrument
These are 44.1kHz 16 bit mono WAV files, perfect for dropping into most samplers.
This Ableton pack was produced in Live 11 and uses some instruments and effects found in Suite. It is not tested in other versions.
About the demo track
This demo track was put together in Ableton Live using just the sounds contained in the sample pack. In fact, the pack IS the demo track! You can open it and remix to your heart's content. Need help installing an Ableton pack?
