Korg’s Volca Drum is a drum synthesis powerhouse in a quirky little package. It features six identical drum voices, each with 2 layers of sound generation that can be modulated, run through a wavefolder, overdrive, and a bitcrusher, and then into a shared resonator engine. All of this can be programmed from a standard Volca step sequencer with motion sequencing and some unique percussion tricks up its sleeve.

Twiddle those knobs and you can dial in impossibly deep kicks, cracking snares, church bells, disco toms, classic claps, metallic plinks and plonks, and all kinds of alien bleeps and bloops.

This sample pack includes:

  • An Ableton pack with 16 instruments
  • 40 drum loops
  • 38 snares
  • 35 melodic sounds (tuned to C)
  • 30 kick drums (14 of them tuned to C)
  • 30 hi-hats
  • 22 percussion sounds
  • 10 cymbals

All the samples and loops are straight from the Volca Drum with no other processing.

For the first time, audio files are included in two different formats:

  • 24 bit, 48kHz WAV
  • 16 bit, 44.1kHz WAV

This sample pack wouldn’t exist without the Synthmata patch editor. Thank you, oscillatorsink!
